RITTER SPORT has been using lightweight and fully recyclable polypropylene packaging since 1991. With the help of this design, the company is able to significantly reduce the amount of packaging required compared to conventional chocolate packaging.

The company's packaging developers sought certification in accordance with the Cradle to Cradle Certified^© product range.

For RITTER SPORT, packaging means: Which ingredients and raw materials are used and are they recyclable? The manufacturing processes of their suppliers are assessed by EPEA with regard to the use of renewable energy, responsible use of water and social responsibility. In this way, they can achieve their goal of making future RITTER SPORT packaging usable for technical material cycles.
