Carlsberg

The Carlsberg brewery group has introduced healthy printing inks worldwide for the labels of its core brand Carlsberg. Printing inks can be a hotspot for problematic substances that prevent labels from being recycled in the paper cycle. The newly developed greener printing ink meets the Cradle to Cradle Certified™ standard at silver level. This ambitious goal was initiated through intensive cooperation and development work with printing ink manufacturer hubergroup and printing house Töpfer under the scientific supervision of EPEA.

Carlsberg's Sustainability Director Simon Boas Hoffmeyer confirms that innovations such as green ink can only be achieved through joint action:

“Only comprehensive partnerships can create a positive cycle of improvements within the company and between suppliers and business partners. Carlsberg can't do it alone, so the knowledge of our partners is incredibly important for us to achieve our goals.
