EPEA and GSCS start cooperation
Bangladesh is one of the largest textile producers in the world. If you want to make textile products healthy and circular, you have to start here at the source. With GSCS International, EPEA has teamed up with a competent partner based in Dhaka — the capital of Bangladesh and home to numerous textile factories.
Here, Abdul Mottaleb founded GSCS in 2010 with the aim of helping companies from all industries design healthy, fair and sustainable products. Among other things, GSCS offers certifications, assessments and audits and has recently become an accredited C2C Assessor — the first in Asia. With EPEA, GSCS can implement material evaluation. Abdul Mottaleb: “With EPEA's expertise in the area of Cradle to Cradle, we can establish the circular economy more strongly here and thus contribute to a more sustainable world.” And that is important — because in order to achieve positive economic, social and ecological effects, companies must consider the use of resources, production processes and relationships with business partners along the entire value chain. Markus Diem, head of the Hamburg EPEA office and responsible for EPEA's international networks: “With this cooperation, we can offer our customers an even better connection to their production and supply chains and thus make it easier for them to enter the circular economy. ”
