Our method: the Cradle to Cradle design framework, which we co-developed.
Printing inks can be a hotspot for problematic substances that prevent labels from being regenerated in an environmentally safe way in the paper cycle.
To develop innovative solutions, we started the cooperation between Carlsberg, the printing ink manufacturer hubergroup and the printing company Töpfer.
Together, the project goals were defined and the ingredients were optimized in order to safely return the paper to the cycle.
The printing inks and labels optimised by the hubergroup and Töpfer were certified by us as an accredited assessor according to the C2C Certified™ product standard.
