Successful opening of new EPEA office in Munich

Wednesday, May 17, 2017

On May 11th 2017, EPEA Internationale Umweltforschung celebrated its inauguration of the EPEA office in Munich in partnership with Wolfgang Plattner, CEO of G.K.R. who invited EPEA Munich to move into his green paradise located in Munich’s 24th suburb in the Himmelschlüsselstraße 60.

The guests showed keen interest in the Cradle to Cradle concept and were interested to find out about sources for fine particles and toxins, eco-effectiveness and various Cradle to Cradle® solutions that Michael Braungart presented to them  ̶  with a focus on construction and building. Wolfgang Plattner proceeded with a thought-provoking summary of numerous manmade problems, such as the intensifying problem of sealed soils in urban areas by stressing the point that plants are naturally sustainable and therefore an effective solution. Surrounded by plenty plants, bushes and trees in the location, this message hit home powerfully.

The positive scope of the plant system Hydro Profi Line® got the guests full attention, because of its exceptional ability to utilize the plants’ positive effects in multiple ways by minimizing maintenance levels, water consumption and costs, while maximizing plant health and constructional flexibility. As Michael Braungart stated, “That’s eco-efficiency and effectiveness at its best.”

Taken outside, at the close of the event, the guests were introduced to facade and roof solutions within the scope of the Cradle to Cradle design concept. Among the visitors, enthusiasm to collaborate with EPEA was kindled in many more ways than one for the sake of a better and exceedingly healthier urban life.
