EPEA’s CEO Prof. Dr. Michael Braungart is invited as a keynote speaker at the C2C Congress in Venlo on March 22nd. In his keynote Prof. Dr. Braungart will discuss ways to move beyond sustainability, discuss the importance of a reasonable Circular Economy and Venlo’s role as the C2C capital of Europe.
As the first region in the world, Venlo has embraced the principles of Cradle to Cradle. The most important example is the municipal office of Venlo, which was built in line with C2C principles. The office combines a comfortable and healthy work environment with sustainable innovations. The C2C ambition translates into the dream to create a building that serves as a bank of materials that generates energy, purifies water and improves air quality. In short: a building that adds value.
The municipality of Venlo organises a Cradle to Cradle year from October 2016 to October 2017. During the entire C2C year, various activities and events will be held. The highlight of the year is a conference spanning three days from March 21st til March 23rd, including a Network Dinner, an “In Practice” Congress Day and conclusively an experience tour to the C2C ExpoLAB, the new City Hall Venlo and a guided tour at Agmi Traffic & Lighting.
